Love hurts the most when you jump into it without knowing each other very well. To make it stop, one has to take some serious time away from all the drama and figure out what he or she feels is necessary and what's not allowable in a relationship. Never settle for less than that. We can only change ourselves and the decisions we make for ourselves. We can't change others. They have to learn their own lessons through their own experiences.

It hurts because it failed? Or are you in a relationship and it's wonderful and hurtful just the same?
Love is very powerful and takes over our heart and brain.
If you were wounded from a guy and are trying to recover treat it like a death, and mourn the stages. Write down the things that irked you about this person and don't forget them.
Think of the good times and smile.
Go and do one nice thing for yourself a day and care about yourself for awhile. Think of nobody else.
New purse, haircut, earings. Travel - call up friends and make plans to keep busy.
Good Luck.

Unfortunately, there is no medicine or cure for love. We can't help who we may have feelings for! But, you have to try and control yourself. Be realistic with yourself at all times! If you feel like you've found someone that is worth holding on to, than by all means, do that. But, if this person is constantly giving you the run-around or making you feel like you're not that important, you have to remember that there are so many people out there in this world and someone will treasure you! There will be someone out there that wants to make you #1 and feel like it too! The worse thing that you can do is sit around and stress and worry about a person. Either they want to be with you, or they don't. Be strong and be confident! People can tell when you are, and when you aren't. Don't let yourself be fooled. Learn to love yourself FIRST and when people see that you do, they'll respect you more, and you never know who may come knocking on your doorstep. I have learned the hard way, as we all have, about love. It can't be searched for.....it's just one of those blessings that will come your way. If it's meant to happen, it will. I have been run over by several men in my life, but through all that, came my knight in shining armor. Just when I least expected it....he came into my life. I wish you the best of luck. Just remember....it's all about YOU right now. Love yourself, remain strong, hopeful, and as beautiful as you are, I am very sure that someone will come your way.

Loving another makes you vulnerable to that person in every way imaginable. You have no defenses because you voluntarily let down all barriers.
When you are not treated with kindness and respect the wounding is deep.
To stop hurting requires you to rebuild any brokenness and that takes time and consummate care.

Love hurts cause when we fall in love, we open ourselves up and this can expose our fears and weaknesses leaving us to feel vulnerable. As we do this, we become used to having someone there to hold our hands and work through it. when the relationship ends, we lose that crutch and become scared. The only thing that truly makes it stop is time. Just hang in there and things will get better. Promise. Just never give up loving. "Better to havelove and lost than to never have loved at all"

What he didn't do, the next will you just got to be strong and leave the past behind you.
