Just layer everything except the chips in a pie plate. I would layer pretty much like you've listed, except maybe put the cheese on after the sour cream.

If those were the only ingredients I had, I would forget the cream cheese and I'd layer the rest in this order:
Sour cream, Salsa, cheese, green onion, and black olives (chopped). Use the chips for dipping. If you have a can of refried beans, that would be great. Layer those over the sour cream. If you have any lettuce in your frig, tear that up and layer it under the cheese. You can always make a quick queso dip by combining cheese (Velveeta is better) and salsa and heating it in the microwave for a minute or two and stirring. It states great. Good luck.

1 pkg. (8 oz.) Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 cup Salsa
1/2 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
2 green onions, sliced (about 1/4 cup)
about 1/4 cup black olives
tortilla chips

SPREAD cheese onto bottom of 9-inch pie plate.
TOP with layers of salsa, Cheddar cheese, black onions and onions.
SERVE with the crackers.

I guess you could use the sour cream on top too if you wanted.

what you have now would make a great dip, just layer it all together with the cheese and olives on top.
or you can get some Velveeta cheese, melt it and add the salsa to it, mix well and it tastes delicious. serve with tortilla chips or Frito scoops.

You've answered your own question. Combine all the ingredients in the microwave except the olives and onions (and chips). something about the cheese and salsaw ork great together. Top of w/ the other two ingredients and serve. Easy, quick, and NOT your traditional "layer-dip"

I prefer an authentic guacamole recipe myself. A real homemade salsa would be way better as well, with the store bought salsas you can't taste any of the fresh ingredients like the cilantro or the green onion. Some fresh lime juice or lemon juice adds a great refreshing touch.

Soften the cream cheese to room temp. Then mix in 1-2 cups of salsa until blended ^ creamy. Put that into a bowl & topp with the olices, green onion & chesse.

A medium container of sour cream and a package of taco seasoning. Serve with some veggies. My dad use to make this when we were kids. It's really easy and good.
