Even Fox news has been talking about it. They have also talked about Al-Qaeda training sites (and this is hard to believe) in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Taliban has also shown a resurgence in Afghanistan, and are directly engageing the USA and other forces. However, we are kicking the crap out of them. Fact is, we have lost our way in how to deal with these two groups, and the policy goes directly back to the White House, even above the Pentegon. Google Al-Qaeda and Taliban. Sift through the whacko conspiracy sites, and you will see why they are growing.

Easy answer to that question, common enemy. Anyone who would normally not have joined forces with them, but wants us out of there, would now join. They have a common enemy...us.

Hi,

It all boils down to the fact that we are not wanted in Iraq, and not only do the Iraqis want us out, all the neighbors want us out also; therefore the growth of Al Quaeda and Taliban forces and we will see it get much worse till bush finally gets it through his thick head that the Iraq war is a big mistake and it's time to be getting the h e l l outta dodge.

Problem is bush is too pig headed to make the move and it will take either impeachment or the Democratic controlled house and Senate to put a stop to it.

That is where the insurgents are come from, neighboring countries that do not want US occupation, no more than we, or European countries wanted occupation by Germany or Japan in WW I I.

I know of some mid term elected Democrats that are going to be looking for jobs come 2008 if they do not get off their a s s's and do what they were elected to do, in impeaching bush and putting a stop to the killing fields in Iraq.

Good Question,

Darryl S.

not sure whether Al Qaeda or Taliban but it seems like more splinter group hve emerged. The US has given them a 'rebel with a cause' - a motivation, in a case maybe..

First of all, how do we know thet've grown or the original ones were not all counted? Or could be like all the other groups of that nature, all it took to sign more up was conflict, which is what most groups do. Like republican today, democrate tommorrow.

They haven't.

Al Quaeda and the Taliban are effectively shattered. The organizations are not dead yet, but as long as we keep the pressure on them they are dwindling.

Show me proof of it.

Support your claim with fact.

Seriously, if you can't support your "speculation" then that is all it is....Speculation.

Your opinion does not matter to me in the realm of world affairs, only fact.

Because they are clever and crafty, once we invaded with the Americans, the ordinary people went to join up with their own side, so to speak.

Get the British out and let them fight amongst themselves.

rabid,

Show me some conclusive evidence that those organizations have indeed 'grown.'

Please don't point me to some blog or unsupported partisan website...a legitimate, third-party news website would do nicely, thanks.
