akc registering dogs?

how would you report phoney registration of dogs and stop people from selling dogs for top dollar and making a big prophet from them.

Contact AKC.

You can report them to the AKC. They may or may not do an inspection of kennels and records.

You'll need some pretty solid proof to encourage them to check into it.

There is a (BY)breeder that was selling puppies that were supposedly whelped in July, yet she's selling more puppies now that were supposedly whelped in Jan from the same female. (Yes, physically possible, but if she's 1/2 the "breeder" she proclaims to be, she wouldn't have breed her famale back to back like that). And I know she's been turned into the AKC for questionable parentage several times with no results, inspection or testing!

It has been my experience that when I have reported a potential breeding irregularity, that AKC was "Johny on the spot" to check their breeding records.
Funniest one I've seen was an add in the local paper for "AKC registered black Chesapeake Bay Retrievers" . There was an AKC rep knocking on their door four hours after the complaint was phoned in.

Mmmmmm,Have you had dealings with the "questionable" BY (Backyard) breeder in Missouri? If so, I wish you luck in registering your Doberman, or any type of dog she/he sells.
MAKE a full report from beginning to end, and sent it to AKC!~

Contact the akc org with proof and suspicions. They can demand genetic testing on the ogs.

I beleive there is a phone number and on their web site there may be a form to fill out to do this.
Good for you we need more people to turn in these people. This goes on more than most people know about.
