If you're remaining friends, return it.
She may be sentimental with the gesture.

If you're going to burn it - insignificant, really.

Good luck, bro.

If its an $$ gift return it, but if it just something cheap, just put it away, or give it to someone else. (not as a gift.. no re-gifting) . But if you return it, its so dramatic, and causing more problems then you need, she will be so emotional messed up already that returning the gift may push her over the edge. And do no burn it, that's just stupid..

Whats the gift anyway?

Don't return the card or gift. I suggest that you store it somewhere so that it's out of sight and out of mind for now. You can always destroy it later when you've gained more perspective on the matter. You can also return it should she request that you do so. I hope you are able to remain friends, but it may require a period of seperation before you'll able to resume the frienship. You seem abit angry for now.

If you want to remain friends it might be wise to keep the gift, or if it's a stuffed animal give it to a niece or neighbor. If you burn it or give it back the chance of remaining friends is very slim.

It is impertinent to return the gift having accepted it in the past.

I think you are very immature, but I suppose you are probably quite young. Dont burn it or return it. Just keep it and keep quiet.

If you want to remain friends (though I can't imagine why unless you're hoping to get laid now and then for old times' sake) then return the stuff to her.

If you burn it, she's going to find out somehow. Either it'll slip out and you tell someone who tells her or she asks you about the gift and you have to confess you no longer have it. Whatever. One way or another, she's going to eventually find out and be PO'd.
