As mentioned above, what puddings, desserts etc., should I be looking at if I have wheat allergy? Pastry, sponges cheesecakes are out of the window..want a bit more than fruit and bananas and custard...

In Asda they have a quite a big section of "free from" foods, and lots of wheat free desserts!

If its Celiac disease you cannot have anything with wheat, rye or barley. I believe there are several recipes made with rice flour that you could have.
There are rice flour shortbread cookies that you could make yourself. You have to be careful with puddings etc. because often the gelatenous consistency comes from a wheat or barley base. You can however get the same effect from Kelp and tripe based gelatins.

I have a sensitivity to wheat, and I would recommend you try Pavlova..

I know that there's cakes made from ground almonds instead of wheat flour in Italian and Spanish cookery, try this one?

Anything that uses rice flour is fine for you. As for puddings you will have to read the lable but most probably contain gluten of some kind so read the lable or make your own at home.
