I know for my self the truth about life. I DON'T ONLY THINK OR BELIEVE, I KNOW. You can laugh and scoff, But I know. Spirit, Mind and Body. YOU CAN ALL ALSO KNOW FOR YOURSELVES. I know it's easier just to say no one can know. Take the more difficult road and find out for yourself. THE CHOICE TO NOT BELIEVE IN A GOD OR IN ANYTHING IS A BELIEF. I AM A CHILD OF GOD WHO LOVES ME, AND I LOVE HIM AND ALL OF YOU. Soul searching meditation, prayer, pondering and a witness to my soul through the power and witness of the Holy Ghost.

Atheist-I became an atheist after studying the Bible as a Christian and having many questions without good answers, discovering the contradictions and alterations, and deciding it was very much the product of humans. I also studied world religions and found them no more or less credible than our Bible stories. Then I majored in biology and found that the naturalistic explanations contradicted the Bible and made more sense. I found you could still believe in God if you wish but nothing in the world required a God to exist.

Well I'm an atheist. I'm an atheist because I've never come across a single piece of evidence for the existence of a higher being. And I guess also because my parents never indoctrinated me as a child, otherwise I might not have the objectivity to realise that there's no evidence. Also there is a great wealth of evidence against most of today's major religions. I'm assuming that's the specific element of my beliefs that you wanted explained, yes? Ten lines isn't enough to get into political, economic, sociological beliefs, et cetera.

I'm an atheist and I think your question is paradox. You cannot ask me what helped me to "believe" the way I do. Atheism means the ABSENCE of belief. I do not believe, I refuse to believe! I do not take anything for granted, I am prepared to doubt and review everything.
And why? I think it's the natural way the human brain works. There are NO absolute truths, there is always room for doubt. You can build a reasonable model of the world and use it for thinking and arguing, but you always have to be prepared to review and even to overthrow your model.

I am an atheist because one day I realized I was forcing myself to believe things that I knew were not true. I sat down, looked inside and starting tossing stuff out. When I got the end, I realized that atheism was the honest way to live. It was very liberating. I heard a buddhist say one time, that it doesnt matter if there is a god or not. You should live your life for today and not in fear. I love that.

probable because of the fact they equate faith with analyzing the Bible and could't be attentive to the way somebody could have study the Bible and not have self belief. it ought to come from the top that many Christians have never study the Karan. Or it must be because of the fact there are atheists like me who have not study the Bible. The Bible and various non secular suggestions have unquestionably no longer something to do with me no longer believing in any style of god. because of the fact the Bible and different non secular books at the instant are not appropriate to my existence, i do no longer complication approximately analyzing them.

As a Christian and a human being, with all our faults and human frailties, to believe that we are the pinnacle of evolution is hard to swallow. Just look at how we treat each other...is that truly the best that there is in the Universe?
We see everyday all the natural wonders of this world and the whole galaxy. To believe that it is all some sort of accident is difficult for me.

Atheist here - I believe the way I do because I think that honesty is more important than tradition and "going along with the crowd".

I don't believe anything. The reason I stopped is because I realised the universe could be explained without the need for a creator god
