i used to get them alot. UTI has nothing to do with your hygiene if that makes you feel any better. Mine came from drinking to much mountain dew. so if you drink alot. then you should drink lots of water. water flushes the kidney and everything out. also depending on how you wipe you can get a UTI that way to. your to wipe front to back never back to front. your anal even if you wipe good still has bacteria there and if it gets close to your vagina you can get a UTI. plus i also had a problem with my kidneys never could it checked out really my kidneys were letting stuff pass through when it shouldn't. but i'm Good now. it will get better just takes time.

Some women are just prone to them, there are lots of different offending bacteria some even undetectable from urine tests. I know you said you have good hygiene but anyway : always wipe from front to back after going to toilet, change underwear regularly, pee as soon as you can after sex but don't force it, drink plenty of water, cranberry juice and cranberry pills, drink Ural but only as directed "too much isn't good for kidneys", be careful of any foreign items used dildos etc. during masturbation( I'm not suggesting you do, sorry if offended) Try herbal shops and pharmacies there is a product called urinary tract support made by ethical nutrients. Women are more prone to these infections cause their urethra is closer to the anus and that's where lots of bugs live. Having said that i am male and I've had a few recently along with urethral and prostate pains, . All i can say is that a lot of women get these infections 5 or more times a year, as these infections have a tendency to flare up again. Hope that was helpful and not offensive in any way, hope you feel better.

To help keep them away, drink lots of cranberry juice. I thought that was an old wives tale but actually alot of doctors recommend it. I had a UTI once and couldn't afford the antibiotics so I drank 3-4 glasses of cranberry juice a day and 2 days later the UTI was gone. My Grandma who was diabetic had chronic UTI's until her doctor suggested she drink cranberry juice everyday. After that she rarely ever had UTI's. As far as what causes them I have no idea.

I'm a lil embarrassed for this answer--if you are sexually active this could be why you are having frequent uti's. Woman on top is a very comman way to get yourself all irritatated altho you dont know it at the time. Always try to urinate before and after sex to keep things clean. If this does not apply to you so sorry! I'm totally blushing now.
