My pregnant dog ate grass today?

She hasn't ate grass on any other trips I have taken her out on. Today her tummy was making funny noises and when I took her out she grazed on grass. She is in her last week of pregnancy, Unlike what I have read she hasn't thrown up afterwards, any idea's why she would eat grass. Just upset tummy could it be a sign she is going to have the puppies soon?? What do you think

Thank you all for your words of encouragement, I took her back out about 30 mins after typing up this post, and what did she do, eat grass and then throw it up. So I have noticed she hasn't ate as much today as normal, not stopped eating but not eating as much, she went to the area we have for to have the puppies and she tore all the bedding out of it, as if she didn't want it there. She has been laying around more and she was extremely affection like she has been. Man I wished she would just have these pups. LOL!!

Some dogs eat grass if there tummy is upset. It helps them urp. I've also heard that it is a sign that they are difficient in some vitamin or mineral. Try giving her some green beans with just a touch of bacon grease if its available.

This is sure sign that he tummy is upset. Eating grass seems to calm their stomachs. This could also mean that the puppies are just about ready to be born in the next day or so. Good luck.

grass settles their stomachs they dont always throw up after eating it, it may be that she is in a little pain and yes may have the pups soon.

It's fine - let her eat grass if she needs to. This will not hurt her.

her stomach is probably upset and she had a case of morning sickness --she will be fine ---when she really stops eating and just lays around --starts breathing heavily she will begin labor. good luck
