I hope not. Some of my nightmares are so disturbing, I dare not repeat them here

Yes it does...studies show that 9 times out of 10, our nightmares reflect what is about to occur in our lives....I hope it wasnt too bad, because the government has recently started to track what goes on in peoples nightmares so that they can catch criminals either in the act or before it happens. You better watch out, G W Is Coming For Ya!!!

More than likely it means you're going through a stressful time in your life, or something bad happened, or you watched something scary. Don't think it's a premonition unless it has a real possibility of happening. If it makes you feel better, tell someone.

If you keep having the same nightmare over and over, then you REALLY need to tell someone.

No they are just frightening, take a hot milky drink about 15mins before going to bed and relax. this might help to relax your brain. so nightmares don't become so frequent.

I have nightmares when my mind is troubled. and they never come true, Thank goodness

It is theorized that nightmares protect us from real danger. I have been in situations that felt eerily similar to nightmares I had.
