ok, heres the scenerio...two people that you know well, and see often end up dating secretly. You never would associate the two of them together because they dont seem to fit as a couple in your mind. They also dont give you any reason to think they might be dating. Then about 4 mos. later, you hear from someone that they have been dating for 4 mos and didnt tell you.
Why do people do this? Dont they realize that they are lying to the people they care about? By hiding the info, they are making you feel like a fool.... In this scenerio, there is no real reason for the lie, its not like they are from opposing families like Romeo and Juliet, they just didnt tell. This has happened in my life several times...why cant people just clue me in??

they are not lying per se, they are just trying to see if things work out, and if they don't, it's a little less embarrasing if they break out and nobody knew anything...

No one has an obligation to clue you in. People live their lives the way they choose to, not the way you want them to. If this couple was secretly dating, that's their business. They had no obligation to tell you anything. You found out when you found out, and that was soon enough. If this has happened to you several times before, it's probably because you're too nosey. Mind your own business.
