STD is a serious health issue. If you are scared to ask him if he has them then you don't need to be sleeping with him. Some people show no signs of having STD's.Once you contact then you have them and you do not want it.I suggest that you have an adult conversation with him and if you can't do that then you don't need to be having a relationship with him..Think about your health and your well-being..Good Luck to you.

Don't worry about offending him. It is your body and you have a right to know before going further. You can use a condom though and be safe. If you don't want to ask, I would insist on using protection.
If you don't want to do that, be straight up and tell him that you would like him to be screened by a doctor before having unprotected sex.
Getting an STD isn't worth it just for being embarassed to ask. :)

Oh hell no!

You ask and hope that he tells you the truth.

You date him longer so that you know that you can trust his answer. If you can't trust his answer then don't date him; unless it's just for sex and not for a long term relationship.

If you do have sex, regardless of his answer, you use a condom. Why the hell is the condom concept so damned difficult! This is the year two freaking thousand and seven; everyone worth having sex with knows about safe sex.

Get a clue and dump the guy if you don't trust him and use a condom, regardless!

If you can't ask him whether or not he has an STD, then you're not ready to have sex or take the relationship to the next level. IF he is OFFENDED by your asking, then he doesn't respect you or your safety, and you shouldn't be with someone like that anyway.

get an STD detector. It uses a special UV light that lights all STD's and bacteria that cause them. You will need to shine this light on his thing!! and if you see bright green lights or spots of lights then avoid any contact. Its around 29 dollars at most pharmacy's. its a must to have around if you are single

There is no way to know unless you both get tested. Even then, some STD don't show (herpes) - unless its during an outbreak. Use a condom, both to protect against STD and pregnancy.

Get over being afraid to ask. In this day and age it is not being rude to ask that question. He should not be offended by a question like that especially since it means you are being responsible.

You have a right to ask this question. I would ask him to go for tests at his doctor. If he wants to go to the next level with you then he will comply. If not he really wasnt worth the effort no? He should repect your fears in todays world.

well definately use a condom...he probably would NOT tell you, he wants to have sex with you, men are whimps. So bring it up, be an adult about it, be brave. Tell him that you feel strongly about getting checkups and ask him to join you, then you can both get the results and be secure in your decision.

You could do the smart thing, and one weekend you can both go together to a clinic, and get tested for STDs! Tell him that it is important to you and if he wants to be with you he needs to get tested!
