These days everyone has a video processing engine.
Go to multiple stores (because setups do vary) and see them side by side.

The Bravia by Sony , by far& the Viera by Panasonic second. The interface engine in the Sony is so good in mine, I can hardly tell the difference in the Digital & HD channels. There is a bit of difference, but not much. I looked at I don't know how many different technologies before getting my Sony 42" LCD HDTV Grand Wega. The Bravia replaced the Wega engine, so it's even better. The Bravia TVs have 2 HDMI in-puts on them too.+ a USB port.

Toshiba Regza are very nice, but the Sonys are better.

Those are prolly the top 2 LCD TV Brands that make the best LCD tvs.

Quality wize. Mitsubishi does a good job also.

I like the Regza by Toshiba or the Sony Bravia.
