Could be that he is shy or just playing games. Be blunt and come right out and say hey we both like each other why not go to the movies, get a drink etc. If he denies liking you or turns you down move on. Some guys are really shy and afraid of being turned down and some just like the chase

I guess the first question here is are you leaving the door open to him or are you closing it just enough for him to feel he has to have a reason to call you? If not then just tell him he need not have a reason to call you or text you and you enjoy hearing from him. Is the feeling mutual here, Do you enjoy hearing from him and being with him. If so let him know this. If not, you may be needing some space from him and the situation. I hope this helps. And Good Luck here!

Yeah like others have said he's probably a shy guy. Try give each other more chances to go out, perhaps for a movie, or any kind of activities. I'm sure the more time you both spend together, he would defintely has the guts to tell you his feeling because through the time spending with you, he could feel that you fancy him. It gives him more confidence to confess to you.
I am so surprised to know that american is shy of telling their love for others. I thought americans are so open with this kind of love issues. Anyhow, we are all humans. :) Good Luck to you. Do something to let him feel that you like him too. Perhaps ask him to pick you up, or out for dinner, or whatever it is.

Maybe hes shy.....sometimes it takes a while.....or just some alcohol --if youre of age-- to actually work up the guts to say what you want. Alot of people are afraid of rejection and would rather not know the answer at all than taking that chance. But, it could be a variety of things, you never know. Maybe he just wants you as a best friend and nothing more... good luck

I'm not sure if I'm on the right track here but, it sounds like he has a problem confessing he likes you because he may be shy.
I have no idea why he's sick of needing a reason to see you though.
Maybe you need to meet him halfway?

guys have trouble admiting their feelings.....if you like him, keep seeing him. I am married to a great guy who treats him wonderfully....we have been together almost 8 years. NEVER once has he said "I LOVE U" He told me he can't say those words...but HE SHOWS ME

your guy just isn't very romantic.
he obviously likes you, but seems to want everything to go smoothly (probably he wants sex) without much effort from him.
are you ready to start living with him?
