OK i didn't have my period the whole month of Feb. i took a test and i said I'm not pregnant..watz wrong!!!

Question

I had sex on the 16th and then the 18th and my . was due on the 20th of feb. so i thought i was pregnant but it said i wuzn't. i had sex with the same guy and it was unprotected...he doesn't have nething we got it checked. At first i thought it was just late but it way late and i can't figure out why. i scheduled for a pap test on the 23rd but even if my . doesn't come on my then it will be 2 months without it and that hasn't happened to me since middle school...just give me wat you think and be detailed about it if you have more questions jsut ask me

well is the 9th i nd still nothin i can't quite say i haven't been stressin bout my . but i keep myself busy wiht wrkin 2 jobs and inm a senior in high school so my plate is full and i am recently get help with my back i pull muscles in my lower back so im goin to the chiropractor 3 times a week...i heard that sum times intense pain can cause you . to not even show up...i just want to kno sum possiblities

There could be many reasons why you did not have your period yet. I lost my period for 9 months many years ago in high school because I was excercising so much and lost a lot of weight, and my body fat was so low---it happens to a lot of female athlethes. That is just one reason....not knowing you or your lifestyle it's hard to say but I am glad to hear you are having a Pap at the end of this month because you can tell them at that apt about your missed periods---they will probably do a pregnancy test as well.

Also, normally you ovulate in the middle of the month, and that is when it is the most likely that you would actually concieve. I find it highly unlikely that you would get pregnant having sex only several days before your scheduled period---that for me is considered the safe zone. If you had unprotected sex around 2 weeks after your last period....then I would say it would be likely that you would get pregnant. That is normally when your body would ovulate and be the most vulnerable.

Sometimes, when it's too early in a pregnancy, and test will show negative because the pregnancy hormone is not strong enough yet. Also, maybe you are late because you are under alot of stress. Try to relax and take another pregnancy test. But, get a good one, like an E.P.T. That brand is supposed to detect pregnancy sooner than other name brands. Also, use protection everytime if you are not ready to have a child right now. Also, maybe you're not late and you just you've just calculated wrong.

You may have tested too early. Try testing again, this time using your first morning urine.

If it's still negative you can see your doctor and ask for a blood test. Also check your lifestyle - have you had any majory changes or stressful events? You'd be amazed at how stress affects the body. Have your eating habits changed? Sometimes that can affect your cycle as well.

How old are you? You seem too young and immature to even be having sex because you should know the consequences of doing so. But to answer your question, this happens to girls all the time. Usually if you are active you will miss a period or two. If you miss another one I would suggest going to the doctor and they can thoroughly check you.
