the AVI format is pretty standard, try capturing the movie in windows movie maker. (if you've never used it then you need to search it in the search feature in the start menu)

Open up the video in windows media player. There should be a message that pops up about how you can't play the file, and click the download codec button and it SHOULD work, after you download the codec media player needs. Or, open up in media player, and right click on the file in the playlist, and click properties, and if it has info on codecs, use that. Or, see if movie maker or a similar editor will take the file. If it will, import the file and export as the format of your choice. Hope this helps!

Any common software should play it. Windows Media Player, Real Player, possilby Quick Time for Windows, etc.

This is basically the same size file that CNN uses in their free vidoes on their sites.

Granted, it's a bit small (half size from normal web cam sizes) but it should play!
