Has anyone done this and does it actually make you loose weight?

i read somewhere it helps if you're over weight, im not, just want to loose a few pound. Will this still work? Can you reccomend any?

I am not over weight too but I wanted to loose weight (little pounds). My mother told me to drink a pure lemon juice each morning just after the wake up and wait a quarter before the breakfast. I have tried and it works ! I didn't know the "lemon detox diet " before that time but I have well informed myself on that method after my mother told me that lemon juice has special properties such as burning greases, eliminating toxins and giving peps !

Don't know anything about the lemon detox diet but lemons are a natural dirurectic and cleanser. Detoxing your body won't make you lose weight however. Detoxing your body actually means 'getting rid of toxins' in your body.

Lemon is very alkalizing to the body.

Most of the foods we eat are acidic and too much acid can bring on a barrage of health problems.

Lemons stimulate and aid elimination in the digestive system.
Lemons also help purify the liver by eliminating toxins and waste products. They are also HIGH in Vitamin C.

If you just want to lose a few pounds, I suggest the raw fruit approach. Eating raw fruit purifies and cleans your body too and you will definitely lose weight. I suggest apples, grapefruit, strawberries, and pineapple. These fruits have sugars that are released SLOWLY into your body. Stay away from bananas, watermelon, cantaloupe, and oranges. These contain sugars that are released quickly into your body and can cause your blood sugar to rise rapidly. In turn you may get hungrier FASTER later. I myself eat an apple a day. You know that keeps the doctor AWAY!:o) I have weighed around 115 pounds since I was in my teens. I am now 47 and still weigh the same. My body is different than it was back then, but I have kept from gaining weight all these years by WATCHING what I ate.

You will have better digestion if you eat fruit only for a week or so...or a few days....but there are precautions which you can find on my website.

Cabbage is also another way to get rid of a few pounds naturally and fast. Raw or cooked is fine.

STAY away from WHEAT in general too. Wheat is the #1 cause of weight gain in our country. It actually SLOWS down metabolism more than you can imagine. Wheat is found in so many products. If you just gotta have some bread, buy LIGHT whole wheat bread. It has a LOT more fiber than regular bread and fewer calories. Just limit your intake to two slices a day.

Also stay away from products that contain MSG. (monosodium glutamate) This product is not only DEADLY but it is also a fat BOOSTER. Products that contain MSG make you want more of it, therefore you gain weight.

One other thing~ You will need to get some exercise if you want to boost weight loss. You don't have to be a work out QUEEN or anything...just be open to doing some exercises. Crunches are a great way to start or riding your bike or walking briskly.

Please check with your doctor BEFORE you start any weight loss program and make sure it is OK for YOU.

Lemons seem to irritate me due to my body type being Pitta, it is effective on Kapha (large body size people) and then very thin - Vatta.

Could also use apple cider vinegar, or limes

If you lare body frame, then it will make loose weight as well as cleanse you. If make you feel funny, use less organic lemons. If problems persist use apple cider vinegar with honey. Honey is good for loosing weight - all other sugars are bad if you a Kapha.

If you do drink it - drink about 1/2 litre luke warm water and add 1/2 lemon (at beginning just 1/4) first thing in morning an do not eat anything after that for at least 1/2hr, best 1hr

If your not nessesarily over weight then I wouldnt try dieting! Most diets are aimed at those who are over weight and when you are its easier to lose it! If your big its generally because you eat too much, so any diet where you eat less will work! I think it sounds like you need to exercise to get the shape you desire! Any diet works twice a good with exercise involved!

I find that trying not to eat ''treats'' except on one day a week when your allowed to eat what you want! By the time you get to that day you probably wont fancy it because you wont want to ruin how good you've been!
