Cameras are delicate pieces of equipment, and if not cared for properly, can become damaged. The most important thing to remember is to keep the lens of the camera on and covered. Don't drop the cameras, treat them as delicatly as they are, and don't mess with them, even if you're just playing around. I'm sure you'll be all right, it's not too hard to take care of a camera, just make sure you don't: a. wipe the lense with anything (this could scratch and damage it, and lenses are often pretty pricey) b. leave the lens uncovered (again, if anything gets on the lens, it could make for a tedious job in cleaning it) c. take the lens off-this could get dust particles and such on the mirror inside the body, which is dangerous to clean out. d. Open the camera when there is film inside. Pretty much, just don't mess with any dials, lenses, or buttons on the camera, and you'll be fine.
Good luck :-)

Be honest with them, say "at my age I do not have much experience with this, but I'm going to do my job".
With today's cameras every thing is to easy, just follow your instinct.

What do you mean "in charge"? Do you have to use them, or just take care of them?
