That is going to depend on where you want to take him. I would stay away from doggie facilities; dog parks, petstores or any place a sick pet may have been, but if you want to go show him off at your friends that have a couple of healthy dogs I wouldn't concern yourself. Go and enjoy yourself while socializing your baby in a happy healthy environement

Are you talking Parvo shots? As long as you don't take him to a heavily populated dog area, you should be okay. Check with your vet when you get his 2nd injection - but I'm sure he'll be fine.

The best thing to do is to ask your vets as they are in the best position to know what the current state of your local pet population is like. There may be a local outbreak of Parvo or distemper, in which case, I wouldn't risk it. Otherwise, you should be fine taking him for short walks in non- dog areas.

when I had my puppy, the vet told me to take a week after the final injection before taking her out. If you are unsure ring your vet. They will have up to date advice

My vet told me to wait until my puppy had all three sets of shots before exposing him to the wide world- it's ok to bring him outside for short walks in areas where you know there is no other dogs' feces to sniff or taste, or else you can carry him for short walks, but I really recommend that you hold off on any longer walks and/or exposure to dogs you don't know are completely vaccinated until two weeks after your pup's LAST set of shots (some vets do two courses, other three) . It's not worth the risk. This is especially important in the city- dog urine andd feces can carry all sorts of diseases and you can't possibly know if other dogs are safe or not.

its not advisable to take your pup out until it has had all of its injections even though your pup has had 2 of its injections then it still could get parvo or anything else which might just make your pup ill

Yes this is fine. It's just a myth that they can't be taken out. I wouldn't let him out of your sight at a park where he could eat other dogs poop, but going for a walk or a trip to the pet store is fine.

By all means, WAIT!

I have seen too many people do this and lose thier dogs to Parvo because they did not wait until they had ALL of the vaccinations.
Your dog is still building antibodies. After your pup is 6 months old with all shots, then it is safe.

Make sure you ask the vet. I remember my vet telling me not to socialize my puppy until she was fully vaccinated. Enjoy your puppy.
