Peace and Love is the universal message. Jesus wasn't the only messenger of that belief.

Definitely! Not as this world understands peace and love; but, the peace of the spirit and soul eternal. Jesus did not come to bring peace to the world as we know it. He came to bring a sword to fight off the evil that is in this world. That sword is his Message/His Eternal Life! There is nothing in this world that can destroy that for Jesus said it is finished!! Amen and amen.

Peace and love were only half of Jesus' message. He came full of grace AND truth. That's why He told the woman who was caught in adultery "neither do I condemn you, now go and sin no more".
There are two ends of the gospel spectrum. One is the harsh and merciless gospel of legalism and damnation. The other end is the liberal message of "gospel lite", less filling, tastes great. That message ignores repentance from sin and living a holy life before God.
But Jesus had this to tell us.
"Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 7:13-21

Yes I do, it is a way of life for those who believe in the truth written in scripture, it started in the Old Testament and was fulfilled in Christ completely and now are all called to do so, even other religions Muslims, Buddhist and Islamic all have this principle belief, that is the beauty of it. That is why if we all believe in our principles of faith there would be no strife, but humans as we are there is always strife because we cant see ourselves in others, God bless and have a great day.

Of course I do.
I believe that we should live at peace with all men to the extent that they allow you to live at peace with them.
I believe we should love everyone, regardless of their differences in race, sex, religious beliefs, work, status, etc.
I also know that some people will not allow you to live in peace with them. Some people pride themselves on their nasty attitude. I think you have seen one or two of them on here.

imagine if everyone did believe in peace and love what a wonderful world this would be! I guess that's a "pipe dream" though but perhaps one day in someplace ,somewhere, somehow we can all unite in peace and love.

Absolutely! That is why I have such a difficult time understanding why people who CLAIM to be Christians believe in war and hate... I have a difficult time envisioning Jesus with gun in hand fighting for oil.

Peace and love are spiffy, all right.
A few more people than just Jesus have talked about them through the millennium, but that's okay. I'm just nit-picking.
