I am doing a website for a small church.I have an audioplayer in there where you can listen(not download) to live gospel songs.Will I face any copyright problems?..or is it okay since it is gospel.

Unfortunately you cannot provide downloads of copyrighted songs although you can provide streaming audio. While it could be that the artists might not have a problem with people downloading their songs the companies who sell their music don't usually share those Christian sentiments. The only way you can get around it is to contact them and get permission for the songs that they are willing to share.

Copyright laws apply to all music. There is no exclusion for gospel music. However, a lot of the older hymns are out of copyright and are considered public domain.

You would likely be okay to put songs on an audioplayer since you are just allowing them to hear it and not download it as long as you put the copyright on the page where it plays.

Contact the groups themselves to make sure you're not infringing on any copyright laws
