All I can say is Praise Jesus for this doctor, hopefully all doctors will one day refuse to treat patients for their nonchristian practices. This tatooed mother didn't deserve this good christian doctor and his gift given to him by God.

Do you think that Jesus would have turned away the little girl, just because her mom had tatoos? NO HE WOULD NOT HAVE. Jesus would have healed the girl and ministered to the mother. If this man is really a Christian dr. He should do everything to care for the whole person, not just the physical. What if that girl had something far more serious then an ear infection and she died, would Jesus be happy with that dr. Why would non-believers want to become a Christian if those who claim to be Christians refuse to help those in need, just because they do not believe, and may do something you feel is not Christian? Who did Jesus condemn when He was on the earth? The Pharisees- those who claimed religiousity- not a true relationship with God. So for those who think that Dr is pleasing God, think again.

This is a perfect example of why I am glad I am not Christian. Christianity teaches forgiveness, kindness to others, and peace between your fellow man, yet many do not practice this. A doctor has given an oath to himself, his teachers, his country, and the human race to help others and do no harm. By refusing to help the child, which in God's eyes is without fault, he turned his back on his faith and his oath. What did the child do to deserve to be treated in such a cold and heartless manner? Did the child have the tattoos or any piercings? The only thing the child had was an ear ache. Yes a private practice is just that, private and the doctor does have a right to refuse service to anyone, many have served this country to give us this right as well as I have, but to say that you do something in the name of a loving, caring and forgiving God? How hypocritical can you get?

What would you say if a priest, minister, or rabbi turned you away because you shave your beard, or had blue eyes and blond hair? Prejudice comes in many colors and styles, you claim to be a Christian because you believe that Jesus is the son of God and that he sacrificed himself for your sins, you need to open your eyes and see that the world is not as you think it is. I personally have known priests with tattoos and even pierced ears.

Christ refused help to no one. In fact, it was spiritually troubled misanthropes and outcasts that he embraced foremost. Christ even asked forgiveness for his own murderers. If you wish to live you life in the teachings of Jesus then you should follow in his footsteps and embrace the outcasts, those in need the troubled, feel their pain and anguish, don't hide behind false pretenses built by man and say that you are closer to God because you obey certain secular laws created by MAN.

Blessed Be

I am muslim & if a muslim doctor refused to treat a patient because he/she was not muslim then he would be committing a sin. Because God has given him a gift to help people regardless of thier religion or race.

In any religion he would be committing a sin & if you think what he did was good then you dont have no compassion for human beings. (what if that little girl was a family member of yours & a doctor refused to treat her because you were christian, how would you feel)

How can he blame the child for the mothers actions , the child is innocent.

You are either an anti-Christ who pretends in order to spread lies about Jesus or you are a hypocrite like the Pharisees, whom Jesus called a pit of vipers.
You are not one of Jesus followers, and if you believe you are then someone is feeding you a line of bull.
Jesus was no respecter of persons, He came to redeem all who would have Him, His original followers were prostitutes, thieves, tax collectors, the outcasts and downtrodden of His day. His ministry is open to all, and today His love and healing would not be withheld from a tattooed mother or her daughter.
You are a liar, and there is no God in you. (Read 1 John )
To those who have your questions about Christianity or more about the love of Jesus... this question is a prime example of the antithesis of what Jesus taught and He will judge this person accordingly.

Nice doctor...to refuse to treat a little girl because of her mother..
How absolutely absurd is that?? Doesn't matter what our beliefs as Christians, it is NOT up to us to judge another...and even if it were, the mother was the one with the tattoos, not the little girl..
I, myself, have tattoos and I, also, am a Baptized Christian..
I understand that our bodies are our "temples", but if a beautifully done tattoo w/ red roses and banners w/ my childrens name in the banners, is a sin, then I guess, so be it!!

I don't think it is very christian like to take out one's own personal prejudices on an innocent child. It was the mother, not the child, who went against some archaic loophole in the Bible. Why was the innocent child punished. This is wrong and no old law in the Bible could make me think otherwise.

If this is how God works, I don't feel proud to be a Christian at all.

I found myself not liking the doctor when I first saw the brief of the story, I like him less now that I know this same doctor has treated people who had tattoos before.

I don't think he withheld care because he was Christian, I just think he's a horses rectum.

That is a very "Trollish" thing to say. I have several people in my Church with Tattoos; Men, and Women. While I do not approve of Tattooing, I will not Judge another of God's Servants for something they likely did before they were Saved, and may even wish they hadn't done.

Also, I doubt very seriously the voracity of your statement.

Didn't Jesus say judge not? That doctor needs to be stripped of his license, he took an oath to help all people, not just the ones who follow his religion and make the proper lip service.

What an un-Christian attitude! Not only are tattoos not mentioned in the NT and probably not in the OT, they have no effect on your spiritual life. It's things like this case that make me very happy that I'm an atheist.
