I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

You can Lose 9 lbs every 11 days after you know these facts:

Low Fat Foods DON'T WORK.........
You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight.

Low Calorie Diets DON'T WORK........
You won't lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body's fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight (low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt --- known as a dieting plateau). You can never get slim by starving yourself.

Low Carb Plans DON'T WORK.......
You'll probably find it extremely difficult to get slim using a Low Carb Dieting Plan. Low carb diets have recently become popular over the last couple years, but the problem with low carb menus is that they are too strict and TOO HARD TO FOLLOW for average people. Low carb menus tend to rob your body of too much energy (carbohydrates) and make it nearly impossible to remain on the program for very long. This is why so many dieters find it difficult to follow a strict low carbohydrate menu.

In fact, the food that you eat can either make you THIN or FAT!!!

Welcome to the wagon of dieting. Being involved with nutrition, may I suggest not to lose weight too fast by keeping yourself hungry all day? The best way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you consume daily with walking at least two miles four days a week. Stay away from hydrogenated, partially hydrogenated oils and trans fat. Eat greens, fish, pork and fowl. For breakfast eat a high fiber cereal. This will keep you full over 4 hours. Eat only 4 ouces of fruit daily. Fruit is high in calories. Drink water or seltzer when you feel a little hungry and drink when you are not feeling hungry. Water helps flush out the impurities from your body. Keep away from soda, diet or regular. At one time four years ago to be exact I was 35 pounds overweight. I started the diet shown here and haven't gained anymore than a couple of pounds during a long period of inclement weather. Fast dieting is dangerous. Your body needs the proper nourishment all the time to keep functioning properly. You need to maintain a healthy cardiovascular system or risk damaging your heart and other vital organs. If it took six months to put on the excess weight, with the proper diet as suggested you can lose up to 20 pounds in four months. Before exercising check with your doctor and get your blood pressure checked. He will also check your heart. The machines that are found in stores to check blood pressure are not accurate. To get the correct reading you must remain quiet and rested for at least one hour.

The best thing to go about a diet is by doing it the healthy way.

1. stick to your diet
2. exercise (whether its running in place or on a tredmill or around the block)
3. eat salads (don't eat alot of meat or anything thats to heavy)

This diet is going to be kind of hard to stick to since youre a chef, but if you really want to loose weight then its something you should do.
