Women never had rights. No matter what religion or country. Men just hide behind words, in real life, every woman is oppressed.

There is NO religion that oppresses women's rights. Many ignorant people have misunderstood Islam and accused it as the religion that oppresses women's rights. That is totally not true.
But it's true that Muslims, men and women, will be punish severely if they've done adultery/fornication, pre-marital sex, zina, and so on.
Well, think about it. What good does sexual relations outside legal marriage bring? The fun and pleasure come and go before u can even moan ur first orgasm.
It will only result in more mental/physical/esteem problems, sexual diseases, poor moral values. Men do not respect 'cheap' women who can easily have sexual intercourse. Look at the Westerners and the non-religious people for examples. Think deeply. Islamic/religious teachings are always the best. There are reasons why every religion is against sexual relations outside marriage.

It's not the religion which oppresses it's the culture of that particular country. For example: women can't drive in saudi Arabia, but it has nothing to do with their religion it's their country's tradition.
There are more abused wives in the US than any other country and that has nothing to do with our religion here, it has everything to do with alcoholism and drug abuse and a culture which alarmingly and increasingly refers to womwn as ho's and Bit**es. It's very sad and if the under currents weren't already there, it wouldn't be tolerated for the youth to perpetuate it within the popular culture.

You are all hung up with the word Religion.
I would bet that the true faith in each case does not oppress women. It is the culture in many places that does these appalling things.

Hinduism because the men kill the women if the woman's family doesn't give them enough money to marry the daughter. Plus if a family has to determine who lives or dies the family lets the daughters die of starvation.
