I have been nothing but caring towards this guy and he will not tell me anything. I like him so much and my feelings are hurting because I don't know what to expect from him. My heart is just dangling ona thin string. I don't know what to do. He will not tell me how he feels.

I wouldn't push the issue. I tried that once and it backfired.
Men/Women don't like to be pushed period. Give him some time away from you, and if he misses you, he will call. If you don't hear from him, you have your answer as to how he truly feels. Men and women are wired different in regards to expressing feelings. Read some books on men and their behavior and you'll understand what I'm talking about.

Love/dating/relationships shouldn't be that hard t the beginning, you shouldn't be working so hard to make someone who supposedly likes you communicate with him. You deserve something where things will be unfolding by themselves with ease and passion.

Either he has internal problems which you CANNOT solve, or he'll open up to you. You need to give him time, and it he doesn't change, then there's nothing else you can really do.
