Hello there. I've got some questions on to what I've kinda picked out for my home theater system. I currently have a smaller sony system that I want to totally get rid of and get something alot nicer. I already purchased a set of Klipsch SS-3 rear surround speakers that I want to use (I got a great price on them). Now here's what I've got picked out so far for the rest. Polk RTi-10 floor standing speakers. Polk CSi-5 center channel. Polk PSW505 subwoofer. Now for a receiver I've got a Sony STR-DA3200ES picked out. Is that receiver big enough for what I have picked out? Or is it any good? Can you recommend another one? The reason I picked it is for the wattage, dual rooms w/ second remote and HDMI for my PS3 (which I use for Blu-Ray movies as well). But if it's not any good, I'd rather get something else. Is the system I have picked out of good quality or is there something else better for around the same amount of money. Thank you for all of your help!!

The idea is gret for your home theatre, but you should probably return some of the different parts for the sound system and just buy a home theatre in a box, which has all the same brand parts.

The quality of all the individual components of your Home Theater are FAR less important than keeping everything the same...Go with all Polks or all Klipsch...And stay away from designated CENTER and REAR channels.

You should try a system with the SAME speaker all the way around...If you've never tried it you're really missing out...Most movie soundtracks are mixed in the studio on 5 or 6 identical speakers...Shouldn't we do the same in our homes?

Here's a little info on choosing the right speakers for you and how to set them up...It might help the folks at home, too: http://www.whydoesmyhometheatersuck.com/shopping.html

And on a side note...If your TV can't display a "1080p" signal, you may not need HDMI...Click right here to see why HDMI doesn't always guarantee the best connection: http://www.whydoesmyhometheatersuck.com/hdmi.html

You started out right with the Klipsch speakers. Why would you not finish off the most important part of your system? The Klipsch speakers are far more efficient than the polks for around the same price. Grab the matching Synergy series center, left, and right, and have fun wiping the grin off your face every time you listen to home theater or music. Don't forget the subwoofer(SVS, HSU, REL, Outlaw Audio)!

okay there are a few things i would change first the reciever! Sony makes good electroncs but there audio is just terrible! those recievers have a hight level of THD. I would buy a Onkyo Or denon reciever. The klipsch Surrounds are a good piece of equipment nice job. Now the polk towers are good but i would go with klipsch for the fronts i would go for the Klipsch RF-82 Towers instead of the polks there better

Try to keep all your speakers the same brand all they way around!!!!

you did really well, the ES Sony stuff is good, the Polk speakers are good, you should be very happy for a really long time

a lot of people are going to tell you that you speakers should match, polks in the rear, but dude this is going to be a really good system

The Klipsch are great speakers. My friend who has a home theater business attended the electronic show last year and said he was suprised at how so many vendors were using DENON recievers. He now uses DENON on all his installs and I have one on order for my HT room. Take a look at them next time your at your local stereo store. I don't know where you live but I like to go to Ultimate Electronics. Enjoy your HT.Also check out this link;http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?f=88/

Great equipment at a great price is the way to go. Don't bankrupt yourself. If you really want to experience how great it will sound, try some acoustic foam on the ceiling and walls, that's is if you can accept some absence of decor.

Placement is also important. If you want a great movie to test your home theater, you have to get "Behind Enemy Lines". The scene were they try and outrun the SAM's are incredible.
