I found some very interesting stories which I wish all reading lovers should read. I want them to translate in Marathi. One book is for highschool students. Can anybody help me how to get authority to translate them and publish them. Also anybody want their stories translated may contact. Only genuine person should answer.

See a copy right and intelligent property rights lawyer. He /she should be able to let you know, most large publishing house will also can help but they may use their own translators and deal you out if you do not have proper lawyer.

The story if publish, the publishers have the copy rights usually shared by other involved, like writer, editors,...... whole bunch of people, not in this order. Copy right were good for 30 years(few years a go), but some can extend them. Laws do change from time to time

You can in the mean time start translating.

Very simple. Learn english and marathi. Transalte immediately. A lot of film producers in Maharashtra are translating some great movies from English to Marathi / Hindi. Jai Nakal / copying.
You can translate my story. I am genuine person.

first of all get permission from the Author of the story to translate. Tell him why u want to do so. The purpose. Then you can translate and publish it.
