Satan can tempt us, but he can't force us. We are still accountable.

Temptation does come from the devil but I also believe it come from with in us as well. Not everything is the devils fault, even if I would like to blame him, but I cant. We do try and blame anyone or even the devil for our sins, but truth is we need to look at our self at times.

Temtation is a trick from the devil following its concept from the origin of man. Devil tepmted the first man and woman created by God and the fall short of the glory of God. Secondly Christ was also tempted by the devil after 40 day and night fasting and he was able to overcome the devil by resisting him. However that is not an escuse for me to blame some one for my own fault because there are possibe ways of overcoming or avoiding temtations when soever it come our way.

I think the devil doesn't do as much as we think; most of the time we are products of our own weird thinking ... I bet he just sits back and laughs at people who blame him for their temptations.

Temptation is a trick from the devil. But if you fall for it - that's your own fault.

You could rather say that temptation is a trick from evolution to lure you into reproduction ...

But there's no conscious entity behind it, and devil is a fiction to scare children.

i think it is and if you realize that it is a trick from the devil then you are capable of doing something about it. You can't blame someone for something you have done if you know the source of what made you do it.

Not exactly, Temptation, or being tempted, is not a sin in of itself, Jesus was tempted but that was not a sin, Satan does tempt us, however, it is our response to this temptation that may be a sin if we cave in to it, and in that regard, we can blame no one for that, but ourselves.
God allows temptations and trials to strengthen us and to produce Patience. read James 1 :2

2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

You don't have to blame you or someone else for the trouble the Devil provokes, the temptation is normal to exist, because that is the life and that is how Gad want..........!!

The important definition is the excuse to blame someone else. It doesn't really matter where the impulse comes from.
