Man flu is dreadful. However, it may not be just a cold because there is a flu virus around at the moment and its very debilitating. I've recently had a bout of it and I felt so ill for about 10 days - it put me to bed for 3 days, which is unheard of. Get well soon if you're still feeling dreadful.

There wasn't but like you say, women are trying to get on the band wagon now and starting this "bird flu" going around. They just want a piece of the action though. What they fail to realise though, is while bird flu just affects the physical health, Man flu affects a male mentally too, so we become mentally & physically unable to do anything with the exception of using a remote control.

No. I think that the medical profession has long recognised that this dreadful disease is the worst disease a man can suffer from. It does not get the sympathy that the sufferer is so desperate to receive. As a woman I am acutely aware how devastating this disease can be on the family.

according to my boyfriend, when he gets the sniffles it's the singular most debilitating thing to be cursed with. He is unable to breathe broperly, talk properly, sleep without snorting, make tea or administer himself any paracetamol/morphine. It really is a sight to behold.
