Pedigree is not good food. You should buy some good food like NUTRO, ROYAL CAINE,. If you insist on getting dog food from the grocery store, try getting Purina One, or The Good life Recipe.
If you stop feeding him chicken. He will eat his food. JUst give him dry food so that you can leave it out longer. When he starts eating regular dog food again, you can start mixing other stuff in. By the way Chicken is good for him.

I had the same problem with my Old English Sheepdog. He wouldn't eat dog food so I started cooking him boiled chicken every night. I swear the dog ate better than me sometimes. It got to be very expensive and when he took ill, it was a real chore to ween him off his chicken and get him to eat the special canned food the vet prescribed, but with persistence he eventually started eating the dog food. I did not mix the chicken with the prescription food as I was told to stop feeding him the chicken immediately. Instead, I had to hand feed him the canned food until he readily started eating it on his own.

boiled chicken and rice is good for your dog. Pedigree is a low quality food anyway. The dog knows what is good for it. Pedigree is full of fillers and junk that are not good for your dog anyhow.
You could try making a chicken broth and pour over the food and mix it in real good. when it cools, give to your dog and see what he does;. A gravy mixed in may work also.

My dogs won't touch pedigree... or any lower quality foood for that matter,... we struggled for the first year of their life trying to find which dog food they would actually eat... welll, low and behold we went into petsmart one and they were giving little sample of the Nutro Small BIte... when the pups actually ate the sample in the store we knew that that was what we sould get... Now they eat their food with no complaints. Honestly try Nutro Max.. they have all types!

nutro makes a chicken and rice dog food. Try pouring a little chicken broth over it at first.

if he/she is hungry it will eat, it may conplain and what not. but if the only food that is avalable is what you want to giv it then it will eat it. an animal will not starve itself to death.
