First---Take a moment and laugh. Many a mommy has done this, and now you have joined our club!
Second--Take the clothes out and shake off/scoop off as much goo and fluff as possible.
Third-- Send the clothes through the rinse cycle again. with warm water as long as the clothes can handle it. If you have liquid fabric softener, use a bit of that too. (Make sure that you take a cloth and wipe out the washer before you put another load in to wash!!)
Fourth-- Send them for a tumble in the dryer. Make sure that the lint trap is clean before you start this load. You might want to check it several times while the clothes are drying.
Anything that does not come off in the wash or the dryer should "fall" off when you shake the clothes out after they are dry.
Good luck!

Got a shop vac?? My little one went through a phase when she was about 13 months where she would take her diaper off at nap time and pick it apart!!! Talk about a mess! I found those little "cotton ball things" were easy to get up with a vacuum... try to vacuum what you can off the clothing and the washer then rerun the wash... and once it is all cleaned up treat your self to something you enjoy and relax until the next mess comes along LOL!!

wow.. i feel so good.. i am not the only mother who lost a pull up in the clothes. lol.. i just did this 3 days ago... all i did was to scoop as much off the sides as possible.. i left all of the clothes in the washer and just scooped what i could out.. found the rest of the diaper and turned the washer onto rinse.. everything came out perfect.

This is one of those times in life when you have to sit back, look at what youve done and laugh your *** off. Then when you done with this therapy start washing agen. make sure the filter is clear all the time and try to use warm water if you can do so without causing further damage

pick out what you can
run the wash again
run the washer empty after that
put the stuff in the dryer
the lint tray will pick up most of it
