Did anyone watch this drama? My nephew has been diagnosed with autism & ADHD. A friend of mine told me that although she hadnt seen this play, It was based on a true story of how a dog helped a child suffering from these conditions. I have been onto a website for 'Hartswood Films', but would like any other links or views from someone who watched it & any info on getting it on dvd please?
Thanks Jayne

Quite moving and based on a true story. He was obsessed with Thomas The Tank and called the dog Thomas.
He interacted with it in a way he had never done with other adults including his parents.

As mentioned above this was a moving story of how a dog brought out a personality in Kyle (the boy) that his parents never knew existed, The real Kyle went on to pass several GCSE's & to persue a career with children.
There is information on the itv website (i'm useless with links) & on imdb which may give DVD release dates - keep an eye out for a repeat on itv2.

it was a great film and based on a true story but in fact most autistic children are terrified of dogs so you should be careful before going out to buy a dog (if thats your plans) you should let him interact with somebody elses first and see how he reacts.. the last thing you want to do is freak him out

good luck
