and allow illegals to pour into the country at an accelerated rate. This is rape of the US taxpayer. I have been alive 48 years and this is the most blatent thing the government has ever done against it's citizens. I have zero respect for any govt. official who is for "comprehensive reform" which means amnesty. Our govt is just as corrupt as the Mexican govt. which is world famous for it's corruption. Instead of requiring taxpayers to pay for the services they require such as free medical/hospital care, foodstamps, housing and schooling why don't the Kennedys, Mccains, Bushs, and every single politicial who is for comprehensive reform pay for this with their own wealth. Let's lower income tax and have a wealth tax instead- and tax the Catholic church while were at it. Does anybody have any idea how to stop this mad govt. of ours from continuing the rape of the US citizen? Northerners and people in isolated areas you have no idea how serious this issue is.

Northerners are experiencing this as well. Even people in isolated towns. It's a very serious thing and I wonder too how our government can think this is a "good thing". I personally saw small towns in Nebraska taken over in less than 2 years. I'm in Il. and sick of the violence, "must speak Spanish", and seeing 1000's of citizens in line for a hand full of minimum wage jobs when supposidly we NEED these illegals. Murders, drive-bys, "left the scene" accidents, "suspect fled to Mexico" murders, raise in taxes to aid illegals and all their "special" needs......I'm sick and tired of it all. You don't have to be a the border to feel the impact. They are destroying America as we know it, every place they settle.

What do you expect? Money talks. Why is a corporation going to pay an American a minimum wage when they can pay an illegal immigrant far less? Illegals are cheaper in all areas of business mainly because they are so demonized now days. They have no rights, and companies can hire them to get jobs done and then fire them with no obligation.
Want to talk to the real people with power in this country, talk to H. Lee Scott and Louis Camilleri, both pretty much the leaders of big business and big tobacco. They are the ones who rely the most on illegal immigrants. But hey, at least these men got raises across the board while a good portion of the rest of their companies and America suffer from their breaking the law.

I agree totally on the travesty of illegal immigration, but it is more than just Industry taking advantage of illegals. It is politicians who see these people as a new constituency of voters they can rely on forever, as long as they keep them poor and stupid. The Democrats have played this game with African Americans for decades, and it has worked well for them. Now they want to import poor people from the 3rd world to make sure they remain Kings forever, and all it will take is taxing everyone else to pay for the benefits.
We all need to contact our representatives and tell them NO to Amnesty. However, now that George Bush has a Democratic congress that agrees with him on Amnesty, this will be a hard fight.
