Plastic has become an inseperable part of our lives that nowadyas we don't see a house or any shop or premises without this OMNIPRESENT item called ''plastic''.

You see ,good and bad co-exist.You can't have a coin with one side only. You observe anything....Scintific advancement for example. So many inventions were made. But all have some negative effects on human life.we have to be careful about them.Medicines are manufactured for hither too incurable diseases, and the same medicines have side effects and some taken in overdose cause unwanted results and even result in fatality.
You have Blades and Knives,Guns and Revolvers etc..they can be used for the Good or bad.
So based on the negative factors you can't categorically say they are to be banned.

Similarly PLASTICS.The Plastic is a really a boon and simultaneously a serious curse upon mankind. You have somany beautiful things made of plastic, light weight, colourful, safe for children when made with food grade plastic. You have disposable bags, carry bags, wrapping paper etcetc..all are good.Because plastic is so flexible and malleable, easily moulds into a shape required, it is very useful and a convenient thing.
But, on the negative side it is NON-BIODEGRADABLE.
That is it will not dissolve into dust as other metals or papwr etc,As we are using the plastic a lot these days, in the garbage its content is gone to an appreciable(?) level.
So these plastic cans, sheets ,bags etc that are thrown on the ground will not PERISH , and will be here as they are for hundreds and hundreds of years. Thus they obstuct water percolation into under layers of ground. The microbes can't destroy them.Even if we try to burn them , then even they produce harmful gasses and those gasses cause Bronchial and other health problems.
Inthat way there are the Plus and Minus points with PLASTICS.

It is for us to decide to what extent to use them sensibly and where to go for alternatives.our wisdom alone should guide us.
GOD PROTECT OUR PLANET EARTH AND THE PEOPLE .

Plastics are a boon as well as a bane for our world

BOON:
Speaking about the boon. it has become the base for many products which we use in our day to day life. The best example are polythene bags and toys. Without plastic our life would turn miserable, thanks to it's elasticity, malleability and ductile nature. It is also used indirectly in other products as an important ingredient.

BANE:
As we all know plastic is a non bio-degradable substance, which means it does not degrade by the action of microbes. When buried in soil it prevents the percolation of rain water and when burnt it produces harmful gases.

So use plastic is a boon as well as a bane.....

Usage of plastics is essential. What matters is only its disposal. Plastics're needed in medical & health care, food packaging, electrical & electronic fields. Most of our modern developments're based on plastics. Proper measures must be taken by the government for its recycling & disposal. Now
scientists're keen on producing bio-degradable plastics.eg: by means of bioengineering a weed,"mouse-eared cress" has been engineered to produce a biodegradable plastic PHB(Polyhydroxybutyrate) in tissue granules.
