It is only 7"X5",has a shower (without cubicle or any thing like that.so the whole floor gets wet after using it) and a wc just beside it. What can I do to improve it.?As it is an appartment I can't change the plumbing positions. Can't get any solution?I knew that. It is a total give up. I planned a lot. But, you know .No hope.Again, the room is dark.I think u can suggest some soothing colors for the tiles and the walls( except any shade of blue)
For those who can still give some realistic, feasible idea of renovating it :
Bravo. u are a real genius.thanks a lot

no inbuilt shelf or anything. only a tiny corner shelf and a towel rack. The major question is How can I stop the floor getting wet ?

i assume there is a drain in the floor of the shower...construct a lip that is higher than the floor drain and add a magnetic liner/shower curtain...that should eliminate flooding the rest of the floor. white walls and any color tiles you choose...because the room is so small use one color instead of multi colored ones...or the traditional black and white subway pattern.
floor tiles should be co-ordinated and the shower/window curtains should be the main color in the room as you can match, contrast or use patterns with the color of the tiles. also for water proof art you can have a long or wide poster, as the room will allow, laminated and then put under a sheet of clear plexiglass on the wall. use wall shelves to hold towels with attached towel rack to hold the towels being used.
as for the color of walls if white does not appeal to you...i would suggest you use the palest shade of green...this is a multi complementry color...i've used sage green, chocolate brown, purple, burnt orange (rust), deep gold, tan and even white towels with this color. with white walls and black and white tiles i have used bold contrasting colors like deep reds, greys, black or white, either alone or all at the same time. you can also use pastels if that is your preference because both (blk/wht) are neutrals.
just some ideas...don't get bent out of shape. try decorating websites like trading spaces and hgtv...key in bathrooms and/or small spaces and remember less is more when you utilize well what space you have available. one more tip about any wall/tile color you choose...the palest colors allow you to use any shade of accesories in that color family and are soothing also. i agree about not using blue, and green is not for everyone...pale cream is much better than beige anyday and is 2nd to white as a neutral color. :)

Definately get some type of lip or barrier for the floor to keep the water from getting everywhere. I am assuming you have a shower curtain, the barrier should be just outside the curtain so the water dripping off the curtain stays behind the barrier. Check with your local hardware or home improvement store. If necessary make sure you caulk it real good to keep water from leaking out.
As far as colors, cream, pale green, lilac or light yellow would all brighten the room up. I know you mentioned you didn't want blue, but cream walls with a light blue ceiling would give the sense of openess like you are looking up at the sky.
However, you will want to pick a tile first before your paint, as you have almost an infinate number of paint colors to pick, but tile tends to be more limited in the color and patterns you have to choose from. Again, anything light and bright will help liven up the space.
Limit what you hang on the walls - lots of "things" will make the space feel small and cluttered. One nice large mirror will open things up, or maybe a picture of a beach scene or some other landscape.
Good luck!!!!

i just gutted my 8 x 5 bathroom. the first cabinet was so big I hardly was able to move. because i have the glass block windows which measure 8" by 36" there is not much light. so my wall tiles and floor tiles as well as my cabinets are white. the wall tiles go alittle over half way up the wall, i painted the upper area a wine color and purchased a bath mat and shower curtain to match. I have the tube lights above the frosted plastic for the lowered ceiling as well as a ceiling fan and light, i also bought a nice medicine cabinet with etched mirror doors with the vanity lights, I bought another wall cabinet about the same size for another wall where i keep other misc items that i cannot keep in the med cabinet. I found a small vanity 1/2 the size of the reagular ones which gives me more floor space, this vanity has a cabinet and an bottom drawer as well as a nice boweled sink also white. I used the silver metal faucets to match the sink and the tub with a shower extension. I also asked my contractor to make shelf areas between the 2/4's that align the walls, I have two tiled inside the shower for my shampoos and two in the upper wall opposite my sink for my other items or you can put a nice vase etc depending on how many and how big you want to make them. I got most of my stuff at home depot, including the reduced size sink and cabinet, they also had it in black. I can keep it pretty clean even with kids and grandkids and two dogs, (one who drinks out of the bathtub faucet). I also bought white and wine colored towels and intermingle them in layers. good luck

Bathrooms, some as tiny as closets may only be of value because of its utility and may appear futile to the owner to consider designing it.
Color is a key factor and the use of colors can alter the mood of any room even make it look bigger; The bathroom is no different. One good idea suggests that bathroom be painted in light, cooler colors as bathroom is a wet room and water is the predominant element.
Use watery elements across the bathroom like clouds, or pattern of waves across the tiles and the ceiling. The light colors used in the bathroom design besides lending the cool feel can also make the room appear bigger. When using wallpapers in the bathroom, consider using patterns in shades of blue or green with patterns.
Another remodeling idea is changing the lighting, as it accentuates objects in the room.
For bathrooms it is advisable to have overhead or ceiling ambience lights which could optionally be fitted with dimness regulator. Also add spot or task lights on the mirror. Install bathroom mirrors opposite each other as it can do wonders to your bathroom. Combined with the right lighting, this arrangement can make a small bathroom appear spacious. Choose bathroom cabinets, bathroom vanities and bathroom countertops with shiny, reflective surfaces; Install a glass shower enclosure during the remodeling process or even install a full-length mirror inside or right outside your shower.

This is a real challenge. Can you incorporate some mirrored tiles on one wall? That will instantly make the bath look larger. I'd go with very neutal tile and walls. Nice fluffy white towels, and a great piece of art over the "throne." Keep your personal items neatly stored in baskets or boxes covered with fabric. You cannot afford clutter in this tiny space. Nothing fussy, just nice clean lines.
