Let's define first what is passion, adrenalin and endorphin.

Passion is an emotion, a strong liking or desire for or devotion to some activity, object, or concept.

Adrenaline or Epinephrine is a "fight or flight" hormone which is released from the adrenal glands whenever danger threatens. When secreted it floods out the endocrine gland into the bloodstream to instantly prepare the body for action in emergency situations. The hormone boosts the supply of oxygen and energy-giving glucose to the muscles making the individual more mentally alert and physically strong; only vital bodily processes occur.

Endorphins (or more correctly Endomorphines) are endogenous opioid biochemical compounds. They are peptides produced by the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus in vertebrates, and they resemble the opiates in their abilities to produce analgesia and a sense of well-being.

There seems to be a cycle of influence among the three - passion, endorphine and adrenalin. Passion is the feeling itself. It started by a stimulation (by a stimulus). If the stimulation is right, the person achieved an endorphine rush. Combine with the rush of adrenalin, it becomes passion.

Passion is feeling for something. Adrenalin is that chemical substance in the body that drove you to be passionate about something. Endorphin is that which provided added reward to the person in what he is doing passionately for prolonged period of time by some sense of bliss and well-being.

1.Passionate relation is good for heart and coronaries. A study revealed that of a group of people undergoing coronary angiography, those who felt loved had substantially less blockages in their heart arteries.

2. Giving love and support keeps one younger. Whereas feeling loved may help people`s heart, studies have shown that giving love appears to reduce the effects of aging. It may have something to do with the fact that giving love increases sense of self-worth.

3. Aloneness easily worsens. When alone in pain, it frequently crosses over into suffering. When alone in fear, itís easy to panic. When alone in anger, rage is not far away. As upsetting as pain, fear and anger can be, suffering, panic and rage are significantly more stressful.

4. Talking and connecting with another person releases one`s endorphins. Just as exercise releases endorphins, so too does exercising your muscles by loving. Throw in a whole bunch of other chemicals that are triggered, including prolactin, adrenalin and PEA (phenylethylamine), and one may never need prescription meds again.

5. Love is a natural antidepressant. Being in a loving relationship releases dopamine, norepinephrine and serotonin. Dopamine and norepinephrine are the bodyís natural stimulants. Serotonin is the bodyís natural anti-worry chemical (it is the one increased by taking Prozac, Zoloft and Paxil).

6. Passionately loving makes people take better care of themselves. It is easier to exercise and diet when someone special is in life. Taking better care of oneself has the added benefit of making one feel better about oneself

7.Many people are more acceptable to others than to themselves. Being hard on self can cause increases in blood pressure, more frequent headaches and stomachaches. When moving with someone in love many will often find that they can let their hair down and get off the hook to feel happy.

8. Love improves your immune system. Studies from a number of different medical centers have repeatedly shown how being in a relationship increases resistance to colds and other viral infections.

9. Love life can smooth out heart rhythms have shown that peopleís heart rhythms become less irregular when they are in love.

10. Passion is an antidote to depression . Few people would disagree that despair is one of the worst things a person can experience. Despair is actually a combination of "des" and "pair," which together mean ìunpaired.î People in despair feel unpaired with love, fun and hope in a world in which it seems as if everyone else is paired. Passion and love are the first steps of curing all negative emotions of life.
