how can i copy some portion of an image to use it in excel sheet? if image is of table?

i need to make a excel sheet out a an scannd image of database,can i use any software to copy paste it,or i need to type everything?

Easy. Just open Microsoft Paint, use the Free - Draw select (looks like a star on the toolbar) or the box select (looks like a dotted line box) and click and drag around the part of the image that you'd like to use, copy it (control + c, or right click, copy) and paste it into your work.

U can make use of picture to text softwares.
Normally with scanner CDs u might get picture to text software.
This will help u to get the text from the scanned image but not the table.
This can help u a certain extent in reducing ur work.
