Hello everyone, I just bought an e-ticket for a friend of mine. Her first name on the e-ticket is : "JOANAMAY." I already purchased it. But I found out that her first name on her passport is "JOANA MAY" (so it has a space in between..) will there be any problems for her flight when she gets to the airports?

This probably won't cause any problems, assuming her last name is spelled correctly. Unfortunately, even correcting this small error might cost you money for changing the ticket, because it's not their error - they did issue it in the name you gave them. If they won't change the ticket for free, she should just travel with the ticket as is - I think she'll be fine.

This should not be a problem. My sister and I both have two-word first names and they always run my name together on the e-ticket. If my name was Mary Ann I would either be Maryann or MaryA on my tickets. Can't remember the last time I saw it right! Anyway I took about 60 flights last year and didn't have a single problem!

There shouldn't be. Most people probably won't even notice the space. As long as the name is spelt correctly it shouldn't matter.

My last name is hypenated. Some times I can imput the hyphen (example Jones-Smith) and sometimes I cant. Sometimes there's a space between my two last names (Jones Smith) and sometimes they just run together (JonesSmith). Sometimes the second name doesn't get capatolized (Jonessmith). I've never had a problem since the names are always spelt correctly and are the same names that are on my ID.

Maybe, you better inform the e-ticket office about this. So that by the time she will claim her ticket, the ticket office have been notified about the error.
Hope she will enjoy her trip.

I dont see a problem, but why don't you call them to adjust the space, there shouldn't be a fee for that.

Just to be safe
