If a female is acting like that then yes any means necessary to get her under control other then excessive force. That wouldn't be necessary.

Just reading some of the answers typifies Britain today. We all want an end to high crime, unsocial behaviour and the like, but yet when the police use a little more than community-style policing to stop it, then they are condemned for it.

The policeman should resume his duty and she should be given a very stiff penalty for the trouble she caused in the first place - may then stop her bragging to her chav mates about "How she took on all those bobbies", and probably about her ASBO.

People like her have no respect for people or property - and I am sure, you would have loved to have backhanded her if it had been your car she caused criminal damage to.

if she was resisting arrest then they should have just mased her or tasered her to subdue her. violence is not the answer in any case. the girl from this story was in the wrong but that doesnt mean she deserved to be struck by an officer. i am sure they could have restrained her in another way.

When she resisted arrest, she moved out of the category of 'girl' and into that of 'suspect'... so the courtesies extended by a gentleman to a lady do not apply in this situation.

She was resisting. I'm sure he didn't do anything to deserve all the punching. Think of the cr@p they have to put up with daily !

Yes, she got what she deserved. When the police attempt to detain you, it is your obligation as a citizen to comply. She chose to try to get away and to physically attack the police.

Yes. Treat a woman the same as a man if she is acting like a man.
