Many Christians do not even have the knowledge of Satan and his demons, but they should, because, "for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." - Ephesians 6:12.
For those who do not believe it, why would we make it up?
You have embraced Satan who hates you, and rejected Jesus who loves you and died for you.
How is that for ironic??

Ok Dolores...could you then explain to me why 1)Satan and demons are mentioned in the Bible, 2) why my sister was a Satanist and many others who know of Satan and his demons 3) why people can be delivered from demonic power 4) how my then 3 year old son saw wolves that were really demons and only he could command them to leave and they would listen, but I could not because I was not a born again Christian??????

So NaturalB...to keep us in line this is all run by...who?
My friend, I KNOW God. I have a relationship with Him, just as all born again Christians do. You telling me there is not a God is like telling me I do not have a mother - I KNOW I do, because I KNOW her.

Oh, lord, people like you should definitely not be allowed to raise children. I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds this absolutely disgusting, and terribly sad.
What you're calling "born again Christian" is obviously just "mental illness".

Satan, from the Hebrew word for "accuser" (Standard Hebrew: שָ××Ö¸×, Satan; Tiberian Hebrew ÅÄá¹Än; Koine Greek: ΣαÏανάÏ, Satanás; Aramaic: ס×× ×, Saá¹Ã¤nä; Arabic: Ø´ÙطاÙ, Å ayá¹Än, Ge'ez: á³áá£á SÄyá¹Än), is a term with its origins in the Abrahamic faiths which is traditionally applied to an angel. Ha-Satan is the accuser, a member of the divine council, who challenged the religious faith of humans, especially in the books of Job and Zechariah. Religious belief systems other than Judaism relate this term to a demon, a rebellious fallen angel, devil, minor god and idolatry, or as an allegory for evil.
Existence still needs to be proved!!!

You ask "why would we make it up"?
Well, that's obvious. Satan is a fiction made up to frighten people. In the same way, god is a fiction made up to allure people. It's the old "good cop, bad cop" design.
To your additional question:
The purpose of making up god and satan is equally obvious. Religion is and always was a means to gain power over people. To keep them in line, to support the ruling system, dynasty, whatever. Religion always had a stablizing effect on society, in a positive and in a negative sense at the same time. Religion means that people are forced to switch off their own reasoning and embrace pre-fabricated opinions and views. Good for keeping peace and order, bad for progress and freedom.
And for making this work, you need baits, and you need threats. In other words, you need god, and you need satan.
Easy, once you see it ...
And to your latest addition:
With all due respect, by claiming that you "know" something without the slightest doubt you essentially prove that you are deluded. There is no knowledge without doubt. You are living in a dream, that's all. I can only hope for you that waking up will not be too painful.

SO Jesus and I were hanging out at this club, and Satan came in. Jesus started acting weird and like trying to kinda hide behind this curtain thing by the pool table. I was like, "what's that about." He said, "you know that guy detests you, and I love you so much, it hurts me that he detests you." I was like, "Woe. You love me? That's sick, I'm not like that." Then he got all defensive and was like, "Not in that way. No, dude. I'm serious. Not like that." SO I let it slide.
Then I went up to Satan and I was like, "I hear you detest me. What do you want to do about it." And he was like, "Woe. Dude, I don't even know you. I don't want any trouble, come on. Just let me have a nice drink with my firends, okay. Everything's cool. Okay. Just be cool." SO I said it was fine, and I must have had him mixed up with someone. He said no problem. Then I totally smashed him with this bear bottle when he turned around. Things got nuts. I mean nuts. There was blood everywhere and people throwing sh1t. I think one dude had a gun.
So Jesus grabbed me and pulled me to the bathroom. I pushed him out the little window, and then he pulled me through. We ran to the car and got out of there so fast. And the freaky thing was Jesus just starts laughing and laughing. He was all like, "That was awesome. Dude, that was awesome."
Jesus. Man. THat guy is crazy to hang out with. Once he's had a couple, things always go cray.

But god, who loves us so much he sent his only son (that's a HUGE thing to give up for 33 yrs, your ONLY son!!! You're FIRSTBORN!!!) to die for us, and return to him forever......that was after he killed all the 1st born sons of an entire race, wasn't it? Commanded genocide? Encouraged war for petty things like land? There's no satan, god just has a split personality....or maybe he's bi-polar....can some one send up some ritalin-prayers?

Yes, I know Satan exists! The God I worship is bigger and Satan stands in fearful expectation of the judgment that awaits him. He is seeking to devour the whole world of mankind. My God is awesome and He sent His son, Jesus to take our punishment and deliver us from judgment! So, I say to Satan ,get behind me! If God be for me.......

Satan does not exist. All that God created is good, and He did not create evil. Evil is the absence of good, it is not an entity itself. Since evil is only the absence of good, there is no personification of evil, aka Satan.
Satan is the boogeyman, and churches have always used the boogeyman to scare people into being good. It's easier to be good out of fear of the boogeyman, rather than to be good for goodness' sake, for God.

How do you know what "many christians" believe or don't even know about? I know to well about Satan. He is jealous of humans and the affection God has for us. His goal it to bring us even lower in God's eyes. I will never embrace Satan. How dare you insult me and other Christians this way?
