There are several drugs used for mild cognitive impaiment and dementia: Cognix (older and not effective), Aricept and Nmenda. Both are thought to prevent or slow cognitive decline, but neither are known to reverse it. Neither of these are used as a symptomatic treatment for memory impairment associated wih other causes, so you would need to have the cause of "forgetfulness" evaluated. Many other organic and psychiatric conditions can cause memory loss in varying degrees.
