Brewer's Yeast tablets is what I use on my dogs.
Safe for Pets, and safe for the breeding dogs too.

Also Garlic too is a good one. (not ideal for cats though)
Many sites say no garlic for pets, but it's mainly pointing to cats. Garlic has been used for many centuries to keep pests away from both humans and animals, as well as used for other healthful properties.

Well keeping the grass cut isn't a really big chore ,.but the best way without chemicals is to keep the dog s hair cut short.
Although you do have a good question about plants and a green day thing.
If you were scratching and itching what would you do?
Take a bath, comb my hair, use shampoo, and i wouldn't have a bug on me. LOVE
