He was either mistaking you for someone else or really intrigued by your beauty or he had to get a second look to see if his eyes are deceiving him cos youre ugly. So its merely speculation....

Thats a nice way to look at it, but who can assume there's nothing on their face, etc. etc. The risk is too great to not check lol.
