I dont neccessarily think that toys can make a child smart...however...I do beleive that certain items can increase the brains functioning...Like books...my son loves to look at encyclopedias made for kids...also there are different toys or kits that you can buy at specialty stores, like a science kit, or a microscope...I do not think you cannot "make" a child smart, you can only help him to understand the world better...The best of luck to you though.

I dont think it is the toys that make the child smart i think its the time you spend with your child that make them smart

Books, blocks (wooden, lego, k'nex, etc.) play dough,crayons, paper, bicycles, swing-sets. Basically, anything that gets his mind working, and body moving. The most important thing, though, is your time. Go for walks, pick up pretty rocks, bugs, pine cones. Answer his questions, read books to him.
