I wanted to have an hawaiian beach wedding but i am not comfortable leaving it up to people that far away to plan it. I do not have the money to arrive a few days before the event either. I probably will only have 3000 dollars the ceremony and honeymoon. That includes food, airfare or gas, hotels, touristy things, souvenirs, marriage license, ceremony etc. It will only be my fiance and me for the wedding. I want a private ceremony.I'd love a beach wedding in an area where I could also honeymoon. I want it to be memorable and romantic. Any ideas are welcome. A beach wedding or a waterfall wedding sounds wonderful but I'm looking for something that will be simple to plan. I am getting married next may if that helps...

What an exciting time for you! If you are getting married next May you have time to explore other options. While Hawaii sounds wonderful, the price tag may be out of your budget. My husband and I got married on in my hometown South Padre Island Texas. There is a lady there who does weddings on the beach and she only charged about $165 for the entire ceremony (Although prices may vary now). Then we stayed at the beach for a few days (3 I think) and the rest of the time I spent with my family because I don't get to see them often as we live in Charlotte, NC. We had our reception in my Aunt's back yard where we put up Tiki torches and tropical decorations. She even planted more palm trees! It was perfect and at the end of it all we had only spent $5000. That included the flight, the honeymoon, the dress, and miscellaneous items. Oh, and my hubby wore white linen pants and a white linen shirt, very casual. I would ook at every travel magazine in the USA until I found something that resembles my ideal. Best wishes.
Also, you might want to put this question in the travel questions here on YA.
While Hawaii is a wonderful choice, why not copnsider somewhere closer that has wonderful amenities. You wouldn't be spending your entire budget on travel. The fortunate thing about this country is there is water on every coast. The Floridian beaches and so forth. Here's a suggestion, why not see if you can find tix on CraigsList?
If you want to have any control over your wedding arrangement details, a good travel agent could be very helpful.

maybe you could come to Mauritius!! wonderful island in the indian ocean...with marvelous beaches and crystal clear lagoons!i think it will be far cheaper for 1 US dollar is about 25-30 Rs (roupie). so 25-30 times more fun and less worry.....:)

You must be rich to plan such an expensive wedding. The cheapest way is to get married in your back yard.
