What definitely works is a leave in conditioner. you do really need to use a professional product from a salon because it is better for your hair and a lot of the "professional" products from walmart and target and those kinds of stores are made with extra chemicals that could be very damaging on your hair and are made watered down so that they can sell more. Any leave in conditioner will work but if your hair is dry but strong you need more moisture and if your hair is weak and breaks, you need more protein, they can tell you which ones will work best for your hair type. You can also use a round brush when you blow dry your hair or put your head upside down!

I myself have baby fine, thin hair. I have yet to find a product that actually thickens (doesn't just coat the hair) it. My favourite product is Sunsilk (yellow bottle) volumizer to give it some lift (otherwise it just kinda hangs there). I also use the big velcro rollers to give it body, blow dry (low heat) upside down and be gentle with it. Never comb out hairspray (it'll break the hair) - shampoo it out. As for salon products - tried them all (my best friends a hairdresser - I'm her worst nightmare) and haven't found any of them to be that great. Good luck in your search!

use special treatment to make it stronger.
try henna, which is very good, but it tends to turn your hair redish black. but it makes ur hair smoother and stronger.
for making your hair longer, cut a little every month. just the tips.
