The most concise definition of God in Islam is given in the four verses of Surah Ikhlas which is Chapter 112 of the Qur’an:

"Say: He is Allah,
The One and Only.
"Allah, the Eternal, Absolute.
"He begets not, nor is He begotten.
And there is none like unto Him."
[Al-Qur’an 112:1-4]
The word ‘Assamad’ is difficult to translate. It means ‘absolute existence’, which can be attributed only to Allah (swt), all other existence being temporal or conditional. It also means that Allah (swt) is not dependant on any person or thing, but all persons and things are dependant on Him.

GOD is that concept which gives us solace. At the time of need on whom we can rely. On whom we can believe that whatever he is doing , it is for the betterment of the individual and may be for the whole universe.
When Japan was devastated by the Nuclear Bomb , did the Japanese turn anti-god? No , till now prayers are held and offerings are made for the peace of the departed ones.
Does Americans feel that they are atheists? No , they are God fearing and repented such a deed.
God does not say do this or do not do this. It makes people to pay for its deeds.
What is consciousness ? How even a baby feels what is good or bad? Why when we do some mischief , we have a guilty feeling?
Is this world running on its own or some invisible force is controlling this universe?
Is birth and death are predestined ?
Is Earth a living being and if so is Earth as a whole has a consciousness?
For all these questions if you try to find the answers , you have to accept that a super computer like precision is present in this universe , who is watching and controlling each and every activity . This all pervasive supermind and superconsciousness is termed as GOD by the right thinking minds.

God is a concept, describing an unreal entity, that is supposedly the creator and puppeteer of the whole universe, that concept was first defined by primitive humans to create an acceptable and respectful explanation to things they did not comprehend.that concept was modified again and again as humans acquired more knowledge.
eventually, about 3500 thousand years ago, in ancient Egypt, the concept of God was limited to the Sun, as a single super entity. later it was redefined by the Hebrews in a form very near the way it is defined now, a single entity, indescribable, controlling and manipulating the complete universe and occasionally intervening in the affairs of Men, through the use of human intermediaries.
but of course, the concept of God only exists in the unreasonable parts of the human mind, and nowhere else.

God is omnipresent. Like Guru Granth Sahib says "Jis Deh Sar Upar Tu Suami So Dukh Kaisa Pai" meaning "Whoever has the blessing of the Lord, is free from hardship"

God is a concept of man and god is, what man is not. God has all the power that man does not have. This concept existed since primitive days, when primitive man had powerful and strong gods like fire, lightning, storms etc. Today we have gods with more analytical powers, design powers etc.
The power to create, and the power to punish.

John 4:24 - God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

All things that are good.

Mark 12:24 - And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

To me ... God is a being, who evaluates your good and bad deeds on Judgement Day, and decides whether you enter Heaven or Hell. God is also a being who you can ask for help and guidance. God is eternal.

Krishna means God. So God, this word, does not explain the nomenclature of God. Now this Krishna is Sanskrit word, and it conveys the full meaning of God. Krishna means all-attractive. All-attractive means He is full of all opulences. In this world we are attracted by one who is very rich, we are attracted by one who is very famous, we are attracted by one who is very highly educated, we are attracted by someone who is very beautiful. Similarly, these are features of attraction. And when all these attractions are reposed in one place without any rivalry, He is God. That is the conception of God. So Krishna means all these six opulences in fullness together. That is the full definition of God.
A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acharya of ISKCON, (International Society for Krishna Consciousness)

Note:- God is called in different languages by different names such as ALLAH, JEHOVAH, Bhagavan, etc. . .
