I took my cat the the vets last Friday as he was off his food and was quite hot. They gave him some anitbotics. We he responsed to for the first couple of days and now his gone off his food again and im taking him back to the vets tomorrow.

My cat is a housebound cat as it safer for him to stay in doors because of where i live.

Does anyone have any idea on what could be wrong with him?

He was tested for cat leukaemia and aids last year and the blood test result came back normal.

He also seem to want to eat his food but when I put it in front of him he turns his nose up at it.

It maybe that he has an infection in his mouth. My cat went through similar symptoms; when I put his food down he would go to eat but then turn away. He lost a lot of weight very quickly and it turned out that he had an ulcer on his tongue. Your cat seems a bit young to have problems with his teeth but it may be an option.
If cats are in any kind of distress, feeling run down or something is painful they generally will just not do it; take him back to the vet and explain the symptoms. They may be able to offer an alternative antibiotic or do some more investigation. I hope he feels better soon x

I am NO expert,we have four housecats of our own and foster both cats and dogs for our local rescue group. I have never had that happen to one of my cats. I definetely think it is good he was taken to the vet, then is goin back again also. The suggestions I have is maybe he needs a stronger dose of antibiotics. This is not the same situation, but one time I had a kitten that we found that had a SEVERE repiratory infection. The vet put him on penicillin. It impoved his condition, but did not cure it all the way. I took him back to the vet and they gave him stronger anitbiotics AND increased his dose, and the length of time he was supposed to be on it. I would try to bribe him with canned food (if you havent tried that already). Does he still drink water? Another thing you could try to bribe him with is Cat Milk,I give our cats the Whiskas brand once or so a week as a treat. Does he still potty or not since he is not eating? I would keep a detailed record of when he does eat/his behavior to take to the vet, maybe that would help the vet make a diagnosis. GOOD LUCK and let us know if he is ok. God Bless you and your furbaby

Hiya, Have you tried him with cooked chicken, and fish sometimes they need to be coaxed. I have a house cat and you don't expect them to become ill because they don't go out. But at the moment Charlie has a serious eye infection and we have to keep going to the vet. Hope your cat is feeling better soon.

It sounds like he could have an obstruction, however your vet would be best to determine this.

Get him to a second vet...a second opinion can go a long way toward saving the life of your cat.

IF it is intestinal backup, time is of the essence.

Good luck...
