I’m looking for websites, names of books, anywhere I can read about kids. Like I said in my first question I’m going to be responsible for my three nephews; Tyler - 5, Nick - 21 mo., and Sam - 3 mo.

I just want to read up on being a mom, while I try to figure out safety issues for the house and material items for the boys. I need to be able to compile lists of dos and don’ts, and what to expect so I’m not taken by surprise.

my friend has the best baby ever. she is reading and putting into action this book Good Night, Sleep Tight: The Sleep Lady's Gentle Guide to Helping Your Child Go to Sleep , Stay Asleep, And Wake Up Happy by Kim West and Joanne Kenen.
I know you might think this is weird but so many fights with a child can be entrenched with their sleep patterns. making them take a nap because they are tired but baby's/toddlers have so many habits like sucking on something, they have to be held, or rocked, that putting them down for a simple nap can be a fight just waiting to happen.
also if you are looking for inexpensive material things check out craigslist... if they have a community near... and good luck!
