I hear what you are saying , and am in the same boat .. but my advice is , do not shy away from whoever you are , because you never know the person who you are interested in now , might be looking for the real you , stay true to yourself , and be yourself , because you will regret the person you become , if you recreate yourself into something you are not. .. my ultimat advice is learn how the other people used you in the past , and build on that , do not damage your nature ! eventually you will find happiness!

It would be hard for you to change personality, but I think you should. By that I don't mean stop being nice. I mean choose a different kind of gf. Sounds like you keep finding ones who take advantage of you. If you haven't changed, this one will probably be the same. If you have, then this one might be right and you don't have to be mean. You may want to talk to a counselor too. There's a reason you let people do this to you. Better to find out what that is and change from there than to just start being mean.

Treat her nice or she will end up resenting you, hating you or breaking up with you. That is, if she any self respect for herself. Its a risk to get into any relationship, the risk is being hurt. Always remains yourself and be good to the person even if you think about what could happen. Be nice but dont be a pushover. Stand your ground.

Being nice and being a pushover can be a fine line. I have the same problem in that I am so willing to help and such some people take advantage of it. I havent figured it out yet, but god luck to you. /and i'll keep an eye on thus one too.

I feel you, man! I've always been Mr. Nice guy and Mr. Caring guy while all the crappy, wife-beating, ******* of the world have sexy wives that won't leave them. I guess it's time to start smacking them around some and act like every other loser out there, because it seems like that's what Women want now, and guys seem to just want a woman who won't press charges.

Be nice, because that is who you are. You can't expect to have a nice relationship with somebody when you are not being yourself - that makes you deceitful. You will eventually meet the right person for you & you won't have to lift a finger.

Don't be clingy girls hate that. Also if you don't like something say so. No girl wants a man who is a pathetic little marshmallow too scared to stand up for himself. Show her some of that male ego girls have heard so much about. There's nothing wrong with being proud of yourself.

Well the last guy I heard go on this rant was a cheating bastard... soo.... are you sure that you're the only one "being taken for a ride" in these relationships. ... If that doesn't apply... well even if it does, always be nice to your girl. always. remember girls talk. could bite you in the *** later
